Nantes travel feature for the Guardian

Delighted to have a series of pictures published in the Guardian today for a travel feature on Nantes (my adopted home town for the last 15 years). As the article explains, this western Loire Valley city, has emerged from the post-war depression and it’s somewhat sleepy, drab provincial image, to become a hip place to live and visit. The wonderful mechanical Giant Elephant of the Machines de l’île company and the summer cultural and artistic Voyage à Nantes festival, have been major factors in achieving this transformation over the last decade.
I carried out the assignment at the end of June during the recent heatwave, and so shed a few kilos running around to capture the best shots!  Am very pleased with the final colourful layout and look forward to future collaborations with my favourite newspaper.
